About Your Instructor
Instructor, Cindy Kinnard studied private piano for 10 years before receiving an Associate of Music Degree from Cumberland University in 1976.
Cindy has studied private piano and vocal studies while attending Austin Peay State University and Middle Tennessee State University.
She has taught private piano since 1976 and currently operates the Classic Rhythms Piano Studio in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Her personal performances include television, singing of the national anthem for an Atlanta Braves baseball game, a concert for a prayer breakfast at the home of Governor Winfield Dunn, a senator’s dinner at Bethesda Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., as well as numerous church related performances.
Cindy’s most recent interest lies in the area of Autism. In 2002, she had the opportunity to meet a young student, Matthew. Matthew has Autism and his parents thought music could be an important element in his education and growth. Cindy began an extensive time of research and after much thought and planning decided to accept Matthew as a student. He has become an outstanding piano student and since that time, Cindy has added other Autistic students to her studio.
Cindy also enjoys song writing and performing. She is available for weddings and can provide vocal music, instrumental music or both.
She has performed for corporate entertainment with the Houghton-Mifflin Publishing Company for company functions in Memphis and Knoxville, TN and Bowling Green, KY. Last year, she also performed for a corporate luncheon in Nashville, TN at Cheekwood.
Cindy resides in Spring Hill, Tennessee with her husband, Dale and step-son, Preston. Cindy has two grown daughters, Jennifer Miller and Elizabeth Scott.
Mrs. Kinnard looks forward to a continued lifelong career in the music field. She is dedicated to professionalism and maintains high standards of music ability for her studio and personal performance.
